Brooke Hall brings strong communication, investigative and analytical skills to her consulting practice in complaints-handling and dispute resolution. Her strong client service focus and balanced, pragmatic approach ensures clients receive practical solutions for a range of workplace issues.
Brooke’s passion for workplace relations grew through legal practice and a series of roles within government. Joining Worklogic in 2016, Brooke has applied that passion, along with her highly developed analytical and communication skills, to investigate bullying, sexual harassment and other allegations of misconduct.
After an early career in taxation law, Brooke was employed at the now Fair Work Ombudsman for 10 years.
She worked collaboratively with Inspectors and provided legal advice and assistance during workplace relations investigations and prosecutions. She provided practical recommendations for clients about a range of workplace issues, including the termination of employment, redundancy, general protections, award and agreement interpretation and evidentiary issues.
Her experience as a lawyer and government regulator gives Brooke a deep understanding of employers’ risk management and compliance, as well as experience across a variety of industries. These have included small business, government departments and agencies, retail and transport businesses. She also has experience in human resources matters, such as managing underperformance, employee development strategies and recruitment.
Brooke knows the complexities that employers face, in changing and highly regulated environments. She understands the need to balance practicality, values and risk, as well as strategic, contextual and policy factors. She gives practical advice about the different ways forward, and talks through with employers the pros and cons of their options.
An engaging and knowledgeable presenter, Brooke also enjoys developing and presenting workshops and training sessions about workplace relations issues to a variety of audiences. Brooke’s experience as a litigator and advocate gives her significant experience in front of tough crowds, having appeared on behalf of the Fair Work Ombudsman in the Federal Circuit Court on a number of occasions.
